Thank you for that incredible interview with Douglas, I was Church Officer at St. Andrews for many years, and knew Douglas very well. His piano music did sing as he always said, and his organ music was heavenly. I miss Douglas, May his soul Rest In Peace.
Now owned by Yamaha! Love their sound, but too overpriced right now.
Stunning ❤
Bösendorfer reminds me of our favorite old car, a 1983 Mercedes Benz 300SD Turbo, silver with black leather interior....was a dream to drive, wherever we went people would stop and stare and ask, what kind of car is that? It's simply beautiful...and it was!!
Have had the opportunity to play one in Atherton CA .... amazing instrument...
Not 'perhaps', Bosendorfer is guaranteed the world's ultimate grand piano, the other company just has a stronger marketing department, that's all.
Amazing to see how these masterpieces are made. I don’t play piano but would love to.
El sonido de este gran piano es mágico e inagulable !!!
I have a copy of Gene's "Scandinavian Suite #1". He sent it to me after I wrote him a letter asking about it. It's on 1/4 inch tape @ 7 1/2 ips mono. I'll up load it, if I ever figure out how.

Implanted, perhaps-/ not implemented.
Not to be at all irreverent to magnificent piano-manufacturing artistry, but the image of Tori Amos sitting astride that piano bench is just spectacular!
If you had someone who knew how to use a pair of condenser microphones, we might hear how nice this Seiler really is.
👌👌👌👌
Worst
Impressed. 👍😁👀 Just hope that home is strong enough to hold the weight of a 900 pound grand in the 3rd floor..
My first thought. This is defiantly something you should consult an engineer on before doing.
Interesting to see. Still done by hand in some cases not using a lift that allows only one man to handle the 900+ pound grands...Glad your guys didn't let the piano slip. What happens should this be the case...for the customer. Do you offer the customer a brand new replacement? Or do you attempt to fix the damage (no matter how small...scratch or a chip). I recall when my parents got their baby grand those movers let the piano slip while moving it from the truck to the driveway. Had to get 2 stronger men (maybe it was 3) as they had to get the piano up 2 flights of steps. 2nd crew did it with ease. Sent 2 or 3 larger men. What was sad was they only put lacquer over the chipped areas. Not sure why my parents never pressed them for a replacement. Calling in a lawyer. As a grand would never be the same once the rim is cracked deep enough. Who knows where the damage "travelled" to. Might not all ve visible. What would you do for the customer if it was your mover's fault?
Love the use of cams. Thanks for showing us that feature.
the highlight of our trip to Musikmesse, Frankfurt.... the Bosendorfer stand!!!
Bosendorfer have a beautiful sound but a very heavy action. You have to get used to playing a Bosendorfer piano. I doubt any pianist would give a public performance on a bosendorfer without prior knowledge.
the song is "blue moon"
Deferent from good and great
😍
My Piano is a Fritz Dobbert from Brazil. ruclips.net/video/U42KgH2OCiA/видео.html

It's a pity nobody in that store had the forethought to put up a pair of condenser microphones, knowing the the great DiNovi was coming in.
I Played a Bosendorfer once its like riding in a Mercedes 560SLO riding in that Mercedes or playing a Bosendorfer 1 time spoils you rotten when Im a top hand on a ranch with my cowboying and horseshoeing and win a purse or 2 at the NFR and Calgary stampede with my roping and horseshoeing I want to get the Vienna edition Bosendorfer
affair with your piano? Like sloping off to Brighton at Easter
Hi, what type of solenoids are you using? They seem pretty silent! Can you post a link?
Yes, that would be great! Thank you!
13:26 now specializing in "Hi - Fee" LOL
I gave my Junior recital on a bosendorfer. It was awesome! But now years later own a 7 foot Yamaha because I love the clarity, the grandiosity of the bass .... & the price!!!! Mine is worth $40K. Couldn’t afford $120K for a bosendorfer. Come on get real! I’d love a bosendorfer but it’s not affordable. Damn , shoulda been a banker!
The video is 80% telling us how great they are, and maybe 20% telling us about how they build them. I thought it was going to be the other way around. Steinway also dries their wood outdoors, then indoors, so the statement that Bosendorfer is the only company in the world that does that is false - like, um ... out of tune, OK? I believe violin makers do the same.
When Oscar speaks ,everyone listen This is like a dream ,thank you for posting. Maybe santa will put one besides the tree.
Oh, if you look at the artistry and craftsmanship going into this piano's construction it is no wonder to me that the piano has a soul. For sure, the craftsman inserted a piece of their soul into each work of art. It would not surprise me that there are generations of craftsmen making these pianos year after year.
Jus' LUUURVE playing Bösendorfer grand pianos - in every musical context!!!! Such a joy!
has the quality of yamaha jumped since acquiring bosendorfer? and has the quality of bosendorfer stayed the same?
The Yamaha is still a load of rubbish! Don't know about the Big B b is so far ahead of the Yamaha. but my son's Steinway is way ahead of the tinny Yamaha.
"Blue Whale" - sized Bozey's are OK for the concert stage, but for everyone else, *GIVE ME A BECHSTEIN*, any day of the week. It's been truly said that "Ladies who wear mink wish that it was ermine; people playing a Steinway wish they were playing a Bechstein." www.bechstein.com/en/
I did not see Valentina Lasitsa playing it....
But you can do so here: ruclips.net/video/MEcIL9nV4No/видео.html
I was asked to pay for a friend’s wedding out of town and was stunned to discover that I would be playing a Bösendorfer! I will never forget the amazing experience.
The way she says resonance is... bizarre. 2:39
Sad . Could no one find piano music on a piano for this commercial.
